The Tire Industry Association and the Tire Retread and Repair Association have a newly updated brochure that explains the process of retreading. The booklet explains how retreading is a more complex and sophisticated than most people realize. Information is provided on the intricacies, nuances and technical proficiencies that go into tire retreading, and how it is actually a manufacturing process involving technologically-advanced equipment.
Understanding Retreading is a 16 page full color brochure produced by the Tire Industry Association (TIA) and the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) to improve the public’s knowledge of the retreading process.
Understanding Retreading was produced by ITRA to improve the public’s knowledge of the retread process and emphasize the important contribution retreading makes to the economy and the environment by reducing a tire’s life cycle cost and removing worn tires from the solid waste stream.
